Tecnimil specializes in the design, supply and assembly of grain storage silos

With vast experience accumulated over the years, Tecnimil has projected its expertise in Portugal and Africa, and is now recognized as one of the world’s top solutions.

Advantages

  • The silo walls are made of high-strength 104 x 12 mm galvanized steel corrugated sheet.
  • The low corrugation of 104 x 12 mm allows the grain to flow better along the walls and limits dust retention. The uprights are external with a spacing of 93 cm. The galvanization is Z450 (450 grams of zinc/m2).
  • The screws are hot-dip galvanized in a bath of molten zinc, the thickness of the zinc layer being greater than that of electro-zinc-plated screws
  • This high level of galvanization ensures good resistance to corrosion.
  • The equipment supplied and installed is covered by a guarantee in accordance with the plans. The silos comply with one or more of the following standards: CM66, NFP22-630, DIN 1055 of 1987, EUROCODE.
  • The walkways and all the accesses are designed and manufactured in Z450 galvanized steel (450 grams of zinc/m2). The width can be adapted according to the nature and load of the material handling equipment.
  • The roof panels are made from steel coated with Aluzinco®AZ185, which offers greater resistance to corrosion. In the event of special requests, they can be supplied in color, in pre-lacquered galvanized steel. The roof panels are ribbed for greater mechanical resistance. The structure is made of robust Z450 galvanized steel (450 grams of zinc/m2). The roofs can be designed to withstand high snow loads.
Gamma OS flat bottom silos

They must be installed on flat foundations. Their standardized construction is designed for central and gravity drainage. They are intended for storing all types of dry cereals that are easy to drain. Special design is required for certain applications, such as the storage of oilseed cake, industrial granules (wood pellets, etc.). The diameter varies from 2.68m to 31.98m and the height is standardized up to 27.51m. The silo is fixed to the foundations by means of bushes and flanges, allowing the settlement base to slide to accompany the expansion of the cylinder during filling.

Agricultural silos SF/SFX range

These silos are designed to remain economically viable and comply with the NFP-22-630 standard. They benefit from a project guarantee. The walls of the outer silos are made of galvanized Z450 steel (450 grams of zinc/m2). The bolts are hot-dip galvanized. The roofs are made from Aluzinco®AZ185 sheet steel. Various ventilation solutions are available: by Ventigaines® mesh, by Ventilames® mesh, by Ventilcone® and by perforated floor.

Indoor flour silos

Silos made from AISI stainless steel panels, metal or fabric are commonly used for storing raw food materials (flour, sugar).
The shape can be regular polygonal, without right angles, allowing for optimum emptying of its contents. It can be easily installed inside closed and covered spaces. It is normally manufactured with a filter fabric roof, but on request it can also be supplied with a steel cover.

Advantages over traditional systems for storing raw materials in bags:

  • Reduction in personnel and machinery needed to handle the raw materials
  • Fast storage while maintaining dosing quality
  • Automated distribution of raw materials at the point of use on the production line
  • No special waste
  • Checking, weighing incoming and stored loads and reducing waste
